Bryan DeBusk, PhD, (a.k.a. MedSciWriter) is a full-time grant writer and grant consultant for Hanover Grants,* a division of the Hanover Research Council. Prior to starting with Hanover Grants in early 2010, Bryan was a successful freelance grant writer. In 2009 alone, he helped clients obtain more than $35 million in funding from the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

With an educational background in pharmacology and with experience as a biology professor teaching cell biology, genetics, and other upper-level biology courses, Bryan’s primary interest and expertise as a grants consultant are in the areas of NIH and National Science Foundation (NSF) programs. He also has considerable experience preparing proposals for other federal and state granting agencies.

Although Bryan spends most of his free time with his wife and two beautiful daughters, he occasionally takes on freelance work for interesting projects, exceptional clients, or good causes.
